Position Description:
Working with contract partners and FWS Stakeholders, develop, upgrade, and maintain Web Applications for the FWS.

Duties (Required):
• Implement Java and Groovy web applications, using open source frameworks
• Build interactive client-side features for displaying and manipulating data
• Work with other team developers to develop new web applications
• Work directly with senior Team Lead to receive work assignments

Specific Skills and Requirements (Optional):
• JEE programming skills (JSP/Java, Groovy, JPA)
• Experience with Web Frameworks (Struts, Spring, Grails)
• Experience with Object Relational Mapping frameworks (Hibernate, GORM)
• Experience with Relational Databases
• Experience with Servlet Containers
• Experience with client side interactivity and design using Javascript, XHTML or HTML5, and CSS
• Experience with Actionscript or Flex
• Experience with GIS technologies, especially ESRI products
• Experience with Tomcat
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).

Education and Experience (Required)
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related curriculum at an accredited college or university, plus at least four years of professional web programming experience.
