Description:
LOCATION: Houma, LA
SCHEDULE : 7&7 Schedule, 11am to 11pm
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
and background check;
* Must be familiar with general computer applications;
* Must adhere to dress code / appearance policy stated
in the Era Helicopters LLC Handbook;
* Aviation background preferred;
* Must be organized and be able to work effectively
independently and as a team with a large and varied
workload;
* Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal
(including diplomacy) and communication skills (both
written and verbal) in working with other parties in
person or by email or other written correspondence;
* Ability to demonstrate skills in conflict resolution
and problem solving;
* Must be self motivated with minimal supervision
required and desire a willingness to learn;
* Must be able to handle a variety of assignments and
handle multiple tasks. This at times may include
changing priorities and deadlines;
* Must have valid driver s license available at all
times.
Responsibilities:
* General housekeeping duties in and around the hangar
area;
* Maintaining company aircraft in a clean and
presentable condition inside and out;
* Responsible for washing all aircraft at designated
base this includes standing on either ladders or
work stands to reach elevated areas;
* Responsible for cleanliness of interior of the
aircraft which includes cleaning the floors, seats,
and walls of the interior of the aircraft;
* Responsible for taking trash from the hangar to the
dumpster on a daily/nightly basis;
* Occasionally required to drive company vehicle for
part runs across the GOM area from base to base;
* Must be able to clean base equipment;
* Maintain proper amounts of cleaning supplies in
inventory and assure is ordered ahead of time when
needed;
* Maintaining an attitude of alertness concerning
possible unsafe or hazardous practices by the
employee or other personnel which might be injurious
to personnel or property;
* Reporting all hazardous practices and equipment the
employee s Lead Aviation Maintenance Technician
and/or the Part 135 Maintenance Manager;
* Maintaining a clean work area during and after all
job functions;
* Staying current on manual changes, policy changes
and rules concerning general conduct;
* Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Training Required Basic Procedures:
* Using the wash brush causes scratches on the plastic
windows. The employee must be able to identify the
difference between glass and plastic windows.
* Spraying water directly in certain areas of the
aircraft can cause issues. Do not spray water in the
pilot tubes, starter/generator blast tubes, etc. If
in doubt, directions should be requested from the
Lead AMT.
* Be careful while using the wash brush on the
aircraft. Too much force could damage or knock off
antennas or pilot tubes;
* Be aware of the overall attention that should be
provided while working around and in the aircraft.
Physical Requirements:
* Position requires physical activities but are not
limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling,
crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking,
pushing, pulling, finger use, grasping and hearing;
* Must be able to exert up to fifty pounds of force
occasionally, and or a minimum amount of force
frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise
move objects;
* Ability to bend and stoop;
* Manual dexterity for operating applicable equipment.
