Job Description
The Senior Consultant is a leading member of the engagement project team and is responsible for helping client's optimize use of NextGen functionality based on a defined set of operational objectivities utilizing previously acquired knowledge of Revenue Cycle and/or Electronic Health Record workflows and associated use of NextGen functionality. The Senior Consultant will provide support for applicable components of the implementation life cycle: Pre-implementation planning, metrics development, project governance, organizational decision making, transition/change management, readiness assessments, post live "health checks" for system and process optimization, etc.
REQUIRED
Demonstrated understanding of the ambulatory health care industry include at least:
Revenue Cycle or Clinical/Patient Care Operations Healthcare information systems
Information systems implementation life cycle methodology
Healthcare process design and analysis consulting
Regulatory requirements such as Meaningful Use.
At least 5 years of direct implementation experience in any combination of the following Ambulatory Healthcare Information Systems applications/modules (Note specific NextGen experience preferred):
Practice Management/Revenue Cycle Management; Electronic Health Record Analytics; Clinical Documentation; CPOE; Electronic Prescribing; Health Information Exchange
Experience with assisting in the writing of proposals, scope of work, and client presentations
In depth comprehension and demonstration of consulting skills at multiple client engagements Demonstrated ability to work through a project plan to final report Demonstrated experience working independently on an engagement with minimal supervision
Ability to advise clients on optimized processes, and use of NextGen technology
Ability to travel nationally. Out of office requirements are approximately 75% annually
REQUIRED
- Demonstrated understanding of the ambulatory health care industry include at least:

o Healthcare information systems features and functionality
o Information systems implementation life cycle methodology
o Healthcare process design and analysis consulting
o Regulatory requirements such as Meaningful Use
- At least 5 years of direct implementation experience in any combination of the following Ambulatory Healthcare Information Systems applications/modules (Note specific NextGen experience preferred):
o Practice Management/Revenue Cycle Management
o Electronic Health Record
o Analytics
o Clinical Documentation
o CPOE
o Electronic Prescribing
o Health Information Exchange
- Experience with assisting in the writing of proposals, scope of work, and client presentations
- In depth comprehension and demonstration of consulting skills at multiple client engagements (Excellent organizational skills, ability to be self-sufficient,, ability to pay attention to details, ability to deal with stressful situations , ability to manage customer expectations, professional demeanor , Customer Satisfaction orientation)
- Demonstrated ability to work through a project plan from initial scope to final report for a primary engagement
- Demonstrated experience working independently on an engagement with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand client needs and advise clients on optimized processes, and use of NextGen technology to help achieve strategic business and patient care objectives
- Ability to work with and communicate (written and verbal) at various levels of the client organization inclusive of management,and the IT department
