Engineer Mission Assurance 3

DescriptionNorthrop Grumman's CID ESSEX Business Unit is seeking an Engineer Mission Assurance 3 with a background in program execution, mission/quality assurance, systems engineering, and process improvement. This position will be located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Roles and Responsibilities:- Monitor, and improve program elements that assure execution on commitments and customer satisfaction.- Ensure compliance with all Mission Assurance related contractual requirements, division policies and procedures, while contributing to the projects process implementation and process effectiveness.- Will demonstrate ability to lead or manage: metrics, test requirements, test verification, participation in the peer review of software development and test, hardware inspections (e.g. COTS hardware, racks, cabling, electronic assemblies, etc.), hardware configuration verification, lead independent program risk assessments and maintain assurance of contract andpolicy requirements.- Will have demonstrable excellent decision making capabilities, communication skills, and the ability to work closely and effectively with project personnel.QualificationsBasic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: - Experience with leading or managing system engineering activities- Knowledge of quality systems standards (ISO/AS9100 and CMMI)- Position requires a current Top Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration: - Master's degree - System Engineer related certification - Lean Six Sigma training - Agile training
