POSITION SUMMARY Our current product portfolio and innovative pipeline require that our sales professionals be highly skilled and effective. The Training function is a critical strategic part of our business objectives. The Corporate Training Manager will have a critical role in identifying the training needs and objectives for the initial training and ongoing development of field sales personnel, as well as the corporate departments that request assistance with their training. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following.
- To develop and deliver training programs and materials to help colleagues meet business objectives
- Manage learning and development objectives that build each brand s capacity to deliver on business objectives
- Partner closely with ARC, sales, marketing, medical affairs, field colleagues, and BU Training Managers to assure that programs and materials will deliver the appropriate message to the customers
- Collaborate with appropriate product teams to understand product strategies and implement plans for execution in the sales organization
- Represent the Training Department on key committees
- Support and develop training initiatives with Field Training Managers to be launched in the field (e.g. POA meetings, etc.)
- Assist in the design and update of systems and processes to track training outcomes (Learning Management Systems)
- Update and communicate training calendar to field and corporate personnel monthly or as needed New Hire Training:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of training modules for new field personnel and/or newly promoted personnel, where appropriate
- Design, update, and communicate in-field Phase 1, Phase 3, and Phase 5 training objectives and materials to representatives and managers Plan and execute in-house Phase 2, 4 and 6 training classes for all Actelion promoted products
- Evaluate new hire curriculum for continuous improvement for all products Work with the Field Training Managers to ensure new hire readiness Experienced TM Training & Development: Evaluate training needs annually or as needed Plan, develop and conduct workshops at regional meetings and national meetings in collaboration with BU leadership
- Participate in curriculum design and workshop development for advanced TM/RSM training
- Work with cross-functional teams to set objectives for continuous improvement of sales force effectiveness; message delivery, knowledge, sales skills, etc.
- Lead the development of training materials for new indications, new products, competitors, etc.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of training needs with the field force, marketing, and medical Liaison with vendors, Business Unit and Training Liaison group as required
- Conduct, analyze and report evaluation measures of application and business impact in reference to training curriculum


- Minimum 5 years industry experience as a sales representative
- Minimum 3 years Specialty sales experience
- Must be performing well in current position
