Brokerage/Import Clerk

We serve our customers with air freight and ocean freight services for direct, intermodal, and consolidated cargo for import shipments and export shipments. EMO also provides warehousing, distribution, packing, insurance, letters of credit, customs brokerage, and chartering Job Description: This position is for local residents only. Sorry, Visa / sponsorship not available. - Arranging and receiving pre-alerts from overseas agents - Filing ISF on Ocean import shipments - Pre-alerts to customers - Tracking freight up to arrival Detroit, clearing through US Customs - Arranging deliveries after clearance - Follow up with POD and billing to customer. - Routing and quoting International air and ocean shipments Job Requirements: - Past experience required - Apply in person or email resume to Marie.Knight@Emotrans.com - Experience related in logistics, export or import, entry writer, supervisor preferred - Secondary education degree desired - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Must be able to multi-task - High level of initiative, self starter who can work well under pressure - Strong operations and customer service skills - Detail oriented - Proficient use of a PC and knowledge of software packages including Excel, Word and Outlook - Must be a team player but have the ability to work independently with little supervision Keywords: Retail, Aviation / Air Freight, Customer Service, Customs Brokerage, Entry Level, Freight Agent/Broker, Freight Forwarding
