CGI is currently looking for Public Health professionals in our Atlanta, GA, offices to join an exciting project team that will work to develop and enhance the IT systems.

Web Developer - Job Description:

Demonstrated responsibility for successfully executing project programming tasks independently, with little required technical support from senior staff.
Develops, tests, debugs, troubleshoots, and documents web-based applications which may also require understanding of database systems and operating systems.
Use database management software and/or general purpose commercial application software and tools in the development of application programs.
Applies Federal standards and other guidelines realted to the development of secure systems and Section 508 compliant systems.
Provides work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Required / Desired Skills

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred
Nine or more years of programming or testing experience
Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software
Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software


Experience with development, integration, test, and production of Java-based applications hosted in a Red Hat Linux Environment.
Understanding of SOA concepts
Experience with identity management systems for authentication and authorization
Experience with JBOSS, including JBOSS SEAM (application development framework),
JBOSS RichFaces (JSF/Facelet technology for Rich Internet Application) and
JBOSS Studio (developer IDE)
Knowledge of Oracle and SQL
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with management and team members
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
