Experience and/or qualifications for this position:

Performs the set up CNC machinery for production runs
Ensures the machine has the proper computer program and necessary tools installed.
Positions the materials being used on the machine and turns on the power.
Monitors machinery during the production run and determines if components are machined correctly
If a programming error occurs, adjusts the CNC program as directed by the supervisor or consults with the programmer, who will correct the program.
After items have been produced, ensures that parts meet specifications and determines the component’s quality.
Assembles, repairs, and fabricates metal parts by operating mechanical equipment
Operates one or more types of machines in order to meet production demands
Sets and adjusts machine settings as necessary
Reads and interprets diagrams and blueprints to select, position, and secure machinery to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product
Adjusts time settings to complete tasks accurately according to customer specifications
·High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or six months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least six months experience.
