JOB STATEMENT:
This position is responsible for providing centralized distribution and maintenance of department related patient care equipment and to assist the healthcare team in providing quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide direct patient care in accordance with treatment plans, as directed by the RN.2. Demonstrate utilization of proper infection control standards and practices.3. Demonstrate utilization of proper body mechanics for self and patient.4. Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.5. Communicate clearly and appropriately to the appropriate health care team member.6. Comply with the organization s standards of care and Idaho Nursing Practice Act.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: High School graduate or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years old. Graduation from an accredited Nursing Assistant course is required.
Licensure: Registration by the state as a Nursing Assistant. Must possess current CPR certification, which is renewed annually.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills: Skills to work independently essential. Ability to speak, read and write English effectively is essential. Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to instruct patients and their families and communicate with hospital staff. High degree of accuracy is required. PRN Nights
