Job Description
You will be joining Wells Fargo Customer Connections (WFCC). WFCC is a key channel for Wells Fargo, handling 40 million VRU (automated) and 10 million banker assisted customer calls per month that produce seven million core units and $470 million of profit proxy sales per year. This role will place you on the Strategy and Analytics team within the WFCC Sales and Marketing group. Your focus as senior sales analyst will be to put together complex sales forecasts and strategic analyses of sales data on a monthly basis in support of businesses of varying size and complexity. You will need to provide sales forecasting and goal setting, tracking of progress against these goals using standard reporting provided by a centralized team, and ad-hoc analysis of sales results and other data that influence sales through interaction with line of business leaders. Additionally, you will help to develop strategies and programs to improve sales effectiveness through analysis of customer segments, customer behavior, technology and market opportunities and banker skills enhancement. This role frequently interacts with WFCC senior leaders and provides thought leadership on sales-related issues and opportunities impacting the line of business, applying strategic and quantitatively rigorous frameworks. We are therefore seeking a high energy individual with very strong communication skills, strong analytic abilities, substantial experience partnering and problem-solving with senior managers in a matrix (shared accountability) organization, understanding of Wells Fargo sales data and the ability to quickly assimilate diverse sources of business intelligence to guide business leaders and craft sales and marketing programs. Your accountabilities will include: Partnering with WFCC line of business leadership to develop annual sales plans for multiple businesses (Phone Bank and Online Customer Service). Sales plans include product, queue, and call center level detail. Developing monthly sales review material for senior WFCC leadership that analyze progress versus plan, track sales initiatives, and identify the root causes of sales successes or opportunities for improvement. Analyzing sales trends to update monthly LOB sales forecasts. Developing business cases to evaluate new sales effectiveness initiatives. Independently developing custom data models as needed to support your initiatives and analysis. Supporting the periodic re-evaluation of WFCC s sales model. This includes evaluating call routing strategies, banker organization / skills, and customer segmentation strategiesBasic Qualifications: 5+ years strategic planning experience.Minimum Qualifications: - 5+ years of senior level strategic planning / business planning and forecasting experience (including building and maintaining of large, detailed Excel spreadsheets to support planning/forecasting, as well as creating multiple scenarios and facilitating objective resolution to differences of opinion among stakeholders when it comes to goal setting) - Proven analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with particular depth writing clear, concise executive presentations - Advanced Excel modeling skills - Hands-on experience running queries from relational databases and enough basic familiarity with SQL query language to understand, run, and modify existing queries - Basic familiarity with one or more of the following Wells Fargo databases/environment (STS, ADW, BMG, C2T)Preferred Skills: - Experience working with sales & marketing data in conjunction with monthly or annual planning, reporting, and analysis cycles - Familiarity with call center operations - Intermediate SQL Query Skills - Microsoft Office Visual Basic/Macro programming experience (preferably for Excel front end user interface/interactive features) - Familiarity with OLAP reporting tools - 4-year degree preferably in business, economics, or a related analytical field of studyHow to Express Interest in This Jo
