Position Summary

Security Clearance required.Duties & Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain network hardware and software. - Manage network equipment including purchasing and working with vendors. - Perform or supervise backups and maintenance of backup storage. - Manage directories and anti-virus protections. - Train network users, answer questions, resolve problems, and communicate changes in software and operations. - Develop support staff and ensure there are qualified backups in his or her absence. - Proactively look for ways to better apply technology to the organization's primary mission. - Ability to interface with other engineering and technical disciplines both inside and outside the company, such as systems engineers, electrical engineers, designers, drafters, fabrication shop personnel, and hardware vendors are important. - Ability to perform technical surveys and organize and resolve technical issues is required. - Some travel may be required. - Document Network. - Set up IP addresses, on switches and routers. - Set up and Configure backup systems including file servers and Backup devices. - Set up printing services. -Install and configure Firewalls. - System Security set up and test per specifications. - Test network for security weaknesses and recommend corrective actions. - Fitness for special background investigation (SBI) is required. - Nature of work will be DOD sensitive.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Education: - Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical. Engineering is beneficial but not required. Manufacturer's certificate in LAN and/or computer technology is an asset. - MCSE certification desirable. - B.S. in Information Technology or related field desirable. Experience: - Four years of progressively more complex experience designing and installing LAN and WAN systems. - Three years experience with LAN/WAN interfacing, data communications standards and network integration. - Two years experience shall include client/server architecture, MS Windows NT/XP and Internet protocols. - Four years of experience with networking equipment such as routers and switches. - Experience formulating test plans, and conducting network performance testing and analysis. - Thorough understanding of networking standards and protocols, particularly TCP/IP.
