Summary: Develops projects using Primavera P6 Thick Client and Web Based releases. Converts MS Project files into Primavera files. Performs required maintenance on project schedules according to sound scheduling principles. Incorporates the project schedules into the Integrated Master Production Schedule in conjunction with the Master Scheduler - Projects. Have practical scheduling experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. The successful candidate will convert schedules that currently exist in MS Project and convert them to Primavera P6. This includes currently active projects, bid quote schedules, and schedule templates used to build new projects. Design views, filters, and reports for reporting various aspects of the business to include but not limited to; daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly production schedules, labor and equipment resource allocations, long lead procured parts, earned value reporting, and critical path management. Resource load all schedules and evaluate over/under allocated resources against all active projects and inform Management of potential conflicts both near and far term. Interpret the effects of bid quote schedules on resource allocations against current active projects. Integrate all project schedules into an Integrated Master Production Schedule (IMPS). Identify any conflicts between the schedules within the IMPS and work with functional groups to resolve them. Resource issues will be assessed and identified based on schedule requirements. Continuously update project schedules based on changes in the Master Production Schedule (MPS), engineering activities, materials updates, customer requirements and changes, and resource availability. Gathers progress information and compiles reports concerning status of work and downtime due to failures of machines and equipment to apprise project management personnel of production delays. All schedules will be developed based on sound scheduling principles. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to Senior Management in order to make pro-active decisions.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum of 5 years scheduling experience in a manufacturing/engineering field with at least 3 years experience using Primavera P6. Knowledge and Computer Skills : Must have expert knowledge and proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project . Must be proficient in Windows 2000 or XP environment with understanding of MS Excel. Must have working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing setting. Intermediate knowledge of word processing software required. Must have practical scheduling experience in a manufact
