Advanced Degree Programs

Individuals who have already begun their careers and want to improve their professional value can benefit from master's degree programs. Those who wish to further their education without quitting their job should consider enrolling in online courses.

For instance, Stevens-Henager College has launched six new graduate programs that can be completed in 15 months. The Wyoming-based school is an affiliate of CollegeAmerica, which is an online college that provides various web-based certificates and degrees.

These new opportunities will increase the availability of advanced programs for those who want to become qualified for higher-paying salaries and promotions. The school currently has a total of four masters-level offerings, including specializations in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing administration and nursing education.

Another new addition to the school will be a financial assistance services department, which will benefit students who wish to apply for grants and loans that can make their postsecondary education more affordable.

Students and professionals who earn a graduate-level degree can be qualified for high-paying jobs. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that master's degree holders earned an average of $1,257 per week in 2009.
