Job Description

CAS has an immediate fill senior management position responsible for multiple functional areas:
Server Management/Administration (includes server administration and storage systems management) Directory Services (Active Directory) management, Messaging Systems (MS Exchange and Blackberry Enterprise Server) management, Client Systems (i.e. desktop) and Administration (baseline image & patching management). The Service Operations Manager (SOM) is accountable for the ownership of processes, technology components and professional capabilities. Also responsible for initiation, transition, sustainment and ongoing maintenance and support of the services. SOM is responsible for coordination and communication across the service entities and throughout the lifecycle of each of the technologies and projects for IT Services, and responsible for the development of the Technology Refresh plan. Will be responsible for leading technical team members during project implementation, standard Ops O&M activities, troubleshooting efforts, etc. Will guide personnel while they solve service issues and fulfill new requirements. Will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and policies. Will be required to coordinate efforts with other work center leads. Position requires support for and communications with VIP customers and the production of scheduled and ad hoc reports and briefings for contractor and Govt. Leadership. Additional duties include providing labor and cost estimates and assisting with the management of vendor support agreements. Will be responsible for technical, schedule and financial performance of the work center and is responsible for managing metrics of the teams, including Service Level Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Work is performed without appreciable direction. Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Occasional travel may be required.

Master's degree and at least 20 years of related experience. A Bachelors degree and 25 years may be considered. Must have senior management experience in a high-tempo, demanding environment. Experience with Microsoft Windows Server OS (multiple versions), Active Directory, storage technologies, VMware ESX Server and Data Center best practices. Essential qualifications for a successful candidate include excellent leadership ability, a strong commitment to a team environment, the ability to quickly adapt to new situations and strong communication skills. Must have a DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one. Security+ certification required or must be completed within 60 days of hire.

Experience using Remedy software (Action Request System). Experience in leading organizations through significant change, specifically during implementation of ITIL best practices, is highly desired. Six Sigma and CMMI experience desired. ITIL Foundations v3 certification desired. CISSP certification is desired.
