Configuration Management Specialist III

NASA has selected ARTS to provide mission support services under the Program Analysis and Control (PAAC) III contract that will support NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center Projects Directorate in Greenbelt, MD. This project will have five (5) years ordering period and a maximum ordering value of $200 million. ARTS will support newly proposed, under development and on-going programs including the Hubble and James Web Space Telescopes, the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and the Gamma-ray large Area Telescope. We also provide planning and scheduling, configuration management, information technology, documentation and library, general business and general accounting services.

Responsibilities

This is a full time position to support JPSS Flight Configuration Management. Maintains detailed knowledge of required compliance documentation including Goddard Procedures and Guidelines (GPG)-1410.2 and 400-Procedures and Guidelines (PG)-1410.2.1. Prepare for CCB, prepare CCR package, create agendas, collect review comments, track CCR action items, coordinate CCB meeting, prepare meeting minutes and distribute. Identify and collect data associated with the configuration management system and maintain the database. Monitor contractor's configuration management systems and perform audits to ensure ISO compliance. Coordinate, record, and document activities of the Configuration Control Board (CCB). Track implementation of approved Configuration Control Requests (CCR) and update and report CCR status. Prepare presentation charts and reports and participate in reviews. Support the administration of Project requirements, configuration change control and configuration management as required. May lead other personnel in complex assignments. Participate in major reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and PSR. Perform Functional Configuration Audit and Physical Configuration Audit.

Requirements

* Individual must be detail oriented and have experience running WebEx sessions
* GSFC CM experience is required
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Products
* Must be accurate, motivated, and proactive.
*Ability to meet government NAC to access NASA GSFC; extensive background investigation will be performed
