Job Description
Pillar Hotels amp; Resorts Sales Manager
br
br Scope:
br
br Sells hotel guestrooms, catering services, and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues and profits.
br
br Primary Responsibilities:
br
br Establishes client base of organizations, associations, social groups, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales, in order to secure business for the hotel.
br Ensures that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.
br Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and or convention business.
br Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms agreements in writing and forwards document to client and affected hotel departments.
br Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
br Forecasts and accurately records and all bookings and cancellations.
br Assists the Director of Sales with the implementation and achievement of the Sales Marketing plan.
br Attends and represents company at trade shows and city-wide conventions.
br Spends a majority of time each week away from hotel conducting outside Sales calls and Sales Blitzes.
br Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
br Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
br Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.
br Fulfills Manager on Duty shifts.
br

br Internal: All hotel departments: To communicate client expectations.
br Reservations: To confirm guestroom availability.
br National and Regional Sales: Share leads and account and client Information.
br
br External:
br Guests: To provide service.
br Travel Agencies: To promote hotel services and generate business.
br Competition: To stay informed of competitive strategies and business conditions.
br CVB: To promote hotel services and generate business.
