Security monitors protect government assets to ensure that uncleared personnel to whom they are assigned are monitored at all times, have no exposure to classified data,and comply with security regulations, and/or monitor an access point to ensure only authorized personnel with the proper clearance enters the assigned area. Position reports directly to NGA West Site Security Coordinator. Working Conditions:

- Works indoors and outdoors
- Normal exposure to noise and disruptions with moderate degree of stress - Selected candidate may work rotating,shifts, weekends and holidays to provide 24 hour security coverage at multiple facilities at NGA West, but may work a fixed shift based on operational needs.-Periodically work beyond normal work hours or works on-call or on as-needed basis. Physical Requirements:

- May be required to stand for long periods of time.- Visual and hearing acuity is required.- Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally Other Requirements:

- Selectee will be required to serve a probationary period of up to six months. Failure to satisfactorily complete such probation period will result in removal from this position and may be terminated.- 21 years of age or older- Employee must be punctual, dependable, flexible, and exhibit a positive attitude.
