Job Description: As a Director, you ll be responsible for directing the overall activities of a branch office within the brokerage division. Your focus will be sales and servicing customers in a target market, earning acceptable rate of return on sales, maintaining growth targets and profitability, as well as growing and developing your staff. Responsibilities Identify customer needs and provide 3rd party logistics solutions Initiate and maintain effective relationships with customers for branch growth Negotiate rates with customers to maximize profitability Budget and profit-and-loss responsibility Hire, train and develop staff to meet branch objectives Maintain contact with other divisions for daily outsourcing needs Other duties as required Job Requirements: 4 year degree with 3-5 years TL/LTL brokerage experience OR 5 years direct TL/LTL brokerage experience AND Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience Keywords: Retail, Sales / Business Development, Freight Agent/Broker, Logistics, Transportation, Trucking
