Company Profile: Leading Global Transportation is looking for experienced Truck Load Brokers who want to be a company employee with a base pay, benefits, commission and still have a home office setup. My client has a Full Truckload Brokerage Division that you would work for and report to. They provide truckload solutions for: Regular, dry-van freight. Freight that needs temperature control. Oversize freight requiring flatbed trailers. Shipments within the U.S. and Canada, as well as to and from Mexico. Job Description: Logistics Account Mgr - (Home office based) A FTB (Full Truck Load Brokerage) Logistics Account Manager is responsible for selling transportation brokerage services by developing relationships with existing and potential customers. Develops relationships and negotiates transportation rates with freight carriers. Initiates and monitors completion of contract, transportation service, and customer follow up. You will make every customer experience outstanding. Resources and capabilities to give you the right solution. Client s depth of carriers and purchasing power provides you with competitive prices. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Selling Customers and Carrier Group - Using telephone, email or other forms of communication, contact existing and potential customers daily to develop customer and carrier relationships. Responsible for generation of sales opportunities via lead production, relationship initiation and frequent follow up. Responsible for closing the sale with the customer and the carrier. 2. Pricing and quote determination - Responsible for maximizing profit while maintaining customer and carrier relationships. Evaluates customer needs and carrier costs to establish profitable quotes. Understands carrier costs and rates. Negotiates with the carrier to determine the cost of the shipment. Ensures that customer quotes meet or exceed minimum levels of profitability. 3. Contract completion and monitoring - To promote customer satisfaction and improve on-going sales, responsible for facilitating the administrative processes related to contract approval and completion. Update load status using brokerage system. Contacts carrier to dispatch vehicle. Monitor the shipment in transit and communicate status to customer. May interface with carrier to expedite shipment or resolve issues. Reviews carrier performance and insures overall compliance with standard operating procedures and applicable federal and state requirements. 4. Sales and payment follow up - Responsible for partnering with team members to insure timely payment of invoices. Contacts customer to obtain additional information or resolve invoice discrepancies. Works with customer to expedite payment. 5. Teamwork - Partner with team members to insure customer needs are met and carrier relationships are maintained. Handle business and accounts for others as needed when they are unavailable. May be required to coach and train other team members.
