CHRISTUS St. Vincent, located in beautiful Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a board certified or board eligible physician to treat patients in our Pulmonary and Critical Care Clinic. Responsibilities Establish and maintain an active, full-time Pulmonary (one-third) Critical Care Medicine (two-thirds) practice for St. Vincent Hospital. Provide appropriate pre-, intra-, and post- operative care. Help foster program growth (inpatient and outpatient) on the St. Vincent Hospital campus. Be available for hospital-based critical care for 14 shifts per month, including five night call shifts. Be available for office or non-ICU hospital care for five shifts per month. Remain fiscally responsible in practice operations and management. Provide full-time, around-the-clock call coverage personally or through call coverage arrangements with other Board eligibleBoard certified physicians. Participate fully in the established emergency call schedule. Actively participate in the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Vincent Hospital. Participate in established peer review processes. Maintain complete, thorough, legible patient records and documentation. Complete medical records in a timely fashion. Participate in ongoing comprehensive programs of quality assurance and utilization review. Participate in continuous quality improvement projects. Maintain continuing medical education requirements for competency, licensure and certification. Investigate patient, family and staff complaints and communicate findings and solutions appropriately. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a graduate from an accredited medical school who has completed an accredited residency in the required specialty. The selected candidate must maintain licensure in New Mexico to practice medicine and be Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Pulmonary Medicine. Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Critical Care Medicine is also required. This individual must be able to acquire and maintain an appointment to the Medical Staff at St. Vincent Hospital. Strong interpersonal and verbalwritten communication skills are required to ensure a collaborative team environment and a high level of patient satisfaction.
