Service Line Medical Director, Primary Care The Presbyterian Medical Group (PMG)

The Presbyterian Medical Group (PMG), a multi-specialty group of 500+ physicians with over 100 primary care physicians and a major component of Presbyterian Health System (PHS), seeks a Service Line Medical Director, Primary Care. PHS is a vertically and horizontally integrated healthcare delivery system, which sponsors a 453-bed tertiary acute care hospital as well as seven others across the state; a highly successful Health Plan which covers over 450,000 lives; and PMG as the physician segment. The Service Line Medical Director, Primary Care will be charged with driving the development of Primary Care into the Primary Care Home of the future, care that is patient-based, protocol-driven, and interactively agile, while also being lower cost and higher quality. The Service Line Medical Director, Primary Care will oversee all primary care in the Central Delivery System which includes family practice physicians, internal medicine physicians, and mid-levels who practice at 10 sites and urgent care clinical operations of which there are five locations. Candidates will need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, understand the challenges of the physician practitioner, have practical experience, as well as a track record of improving performance and outcomes in a large group practice in a key leadership position.
