Participates in the development and maintenance of a business and system architecture and conducts business information flow studies. Provides integrated systems planning and recommends new or different technologies that will enhance current systems and support overall corporate and business goals. Conducts system architecture studies of new and existing IT systems to permit development of integrated systems that operate at low cost levels. Recommends the appropriate computer platform, work stations and communication linkage required to support distributed and client server business processes and information flows. Interfaces with business areas to ensure all initiatives support business strategies and goals. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities as a team member or as an individual contributor. Will not have direct reports but will influence and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Provides input on staffing, budget and personnel. Typically 7-10 years of systems experience.

Responsibilities:
The Sr. SAP BW Architect is responsible for defining the architectural best practices related to data-warehousing using SAP BW.
Must have advanced knowledge of the full data-warehouse lifecycle (from business objectives to technical implementation and support). Must be able to design and develop data-warehouse strategy applying SAP best practices, as well as champion the adherence to the strategy. Must ensure that the strategy addresses and aligns business, information consumption (Business Intelligence), application and technical architecture appropriately. *Work with Finance business partners and gather their short-term, mid-term, and long-term objectives related to reporting and translate them into SAP BW strategy and roadmap. *Ability to define data-warehouse principles, guidelines and best practices, as well as work with SAP BW development organization in ensuring adherence and application of those principles. *Ability to master new concepts quickly, incorporate the latest technology, and develop business solutions that increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability. *Author patterns and decision trees related to data-warehousing capabilities and manage the lifecycle of the overall data-warehouse Reference Architecture material. *Define and run the application architecture governance process for SAP BW platform. *Engage on projects to ensure the overall integrity of the enterprise solutions throughout the solutions lifecycle. *Understand and help refine requirements and solution based on needs, which might span multiple systems and technologies
