Job Description

The Account Executive will focus on new business development, by selling the EarthLink Business suite of IT and Network services, including cloud computing, security and wide area networks (MPLS and high bandwidth access and transport) in an assigned geographic territory. The Account Executive will be working with and selling to C level officers, company executives and business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

Generating new revenue through developing opportunities and closing sales of new business customers.
Responsible for funnel development and pipeline management of sales opportunities.
Establish new business contacts through a variety of prospecting activities, including cold calling and networking.
Promote EarthLink Business suite of products to assigned sales territory.
Present EarthLink Business products and services to all new prospects with sufficient knowledge and understanding of their business requirements.
Utilize quote generation and order management systems as part of the sales process.
Manage daily activities to effectively balance selling time and daily calendar to ensure sufficient sales activity.
Participates and successfully completes all required training and participates in team meetings and activities.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive understanding of EarthLink's sales process and products and services to engage with prospective customers regarding their business needs, including IT and network technologies.
Must be able to set goals and a plan on how to accomplish them.
Adhere to current EarthLink policies, procedures and programs, and demonstrate the EarthLink values at all times.

Required Skills/Competencies:

2+ year of Business-to-Business outside sales (IT and Network) experience preferred
Experience using consultative, solution based selling techniques when meeting and communicating with business leaders and make product/service recommendations that will help drive value to their organization.
Ability to demonstrate success in selling multiple products to medium size businesses
Possess a strong work ethic ability to build a robust funnel and pipeline and drive to overachieve quota.
Must have experience prospecting new business and be an effective networker.
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and writing skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and communications skills to partner with all levels, both inside and outside the company to achieve team and company goals
Must have a desire for success and willingness to learn
Must be a good listener and have a strong work ethic
Must be confident and have high energy to work in a fast paced environment
Must demonstrate the ability to take on and surpass any challenge
Strong PC skills, including expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM tools
Valid driver's license and must maintain an acceptable MVR that meets the company insurance provider's standards as driving is required in order to be able to fulfill the job responsibilities for the position.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 25 lbs. and perform other basic physical demands of the position as needed
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent job experience
