Job Description

The Focused Factory Manager is responsible for achieving company business objectives in their designated operations department(s) to include YOY improvements in growth & profitability, EHS excellence, and exceeding customer expectations in quality & on-time delivery performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the overall Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives for assigned department(s).

Develop and implement departmental long range and short-term objectives, plans, and programs consistent with corporate & OpCo objectives, plans and programs for assigned area(s).

Own the communication process to ensure departmental personnel & company senior management are kept informed of conditions, trends, and important activities affecting their area as well as daily results, quality issues and other business needs.

Participates and/or leads continuous improvement events in assigned area. Active participant in the OpCo's Kaizen Process (Planning / Execution/Follow-Up)

In conjunction with cross functional resources, develops optimum capacity, efficiency, and profitability through the upgrading and modernization of facilities and equipment and improvements in manufacturing systems/processes.

Leader of CI projects for assigned department(s).

Leader of regulatory compliance for assigned department(s). Partner with RA/QA team to ensure compliance to FDA and GMP.

Provide for the optimum utilization of personnel. Ensure that areas are staffed with competent personnel, and that potential supervisory & technical personnel are being developed so that qualified successors are available for key positions within the organization.

Actively ensure training and development of assigned personnel to maximize quality and productivity across the production departments.

Perform associate performance reviews, employee relations activities, and corrective action in conjunction with Human Resources in a timely and effective manner.

Assure company compliance with quality, regulatory and safety directives.

Participate and provide guidance in various company committees as representative for Operations or assigned departments.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The role of the Focused Factory Manager requires a highly intelligent, motivated, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual to drive production KPIs, goals and objectives. The Focused Factory Manager must be able to think strategically, viewing the business from a general and high level management standpoint. The Focused Factory Manager must be able to drive results in a cross-functional and matrixed organization. The Focused Factory Manager must be able to identify and develop the talent in their group. A qualified candidate will be a strong communicator, team player, who is motived and able to handle conflict. The individual must possess the ability to exercise independent judgment on immediate situations with cost, policy, and reputation ramifications.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

BS degree in Engineering or related field preferred

5+ year progressively responsible Factory shop floor operations leadership experience preferred

Experience in a regulated industry preferred
