Job Description

The Office Manager coordinates delivery of dental health services within the office. Responsibilities include administering fiscal operations, conducting accounting and billing, supervising three employees, developing efficient financial systems and operational processes, integrating new computerized record management systems to support business operations, and participating in design and implementation of practice growth strategies. Specific duties include: Overseeing all fiscal operations of the business including accounting, payroll, and medical billing. Developing and managing budget and authorizing expenditures. Expanding or modifying specialized, computerized billing, financial management, record management, and communication systems to meet new requirements or to improve business processes. Preparing weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports including Balance Sheets, Profit and Loss Statements, Provider Productivity Reports. Advising management on ways to increase profitability. Keeping abreast of changes in government regulations, of changes in insurance and liability rules, and of financing options for patients. Participating in growth and expansion planning, including developing and implementing marketing plans. Developing and implementing computer record management systems and network, including effective IT and disaster recovery support and technology upgrades to meet staff requirements.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (combined degree equivalency acceptable) in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, or closely related field. 2 years of professional management experience. Experience/coursework must include business accounting, financial management, marketing management, creating financial reports, implementing computer systems, direct supervision of employees, providing IT support. Any acceptable combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
