Clinical Nurse Leader- Third shift(Lourdes Hospital):The Clinical Nurse Leader has the responsibility for supporting the Nurse Manager and nursing staff in the implementation of vision and mission of the organization. Expectations associated with the facilitation of this role include supporting the Lourdes Service Excellence Performance Standards, Nursing Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance. The Clinical Nurse Leader provides and manages care at the point of care to individuals, clinical populations and communities. The Clinical Nurse Leader uses proposed standards of care and evidence-based practice in caring for patients and ensures that staff are following these practices. The Clinical Nurse Leader is responsible for coordination and planning of team activities, has the knowledge and authority to delegate tasks to other healthcare personnel, empowers staff in decision making. Collaborates with Nurse Manager to ensure staffing, scheduling and assignments. In collaboration with Nurse Manager: assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning and implementation, evaluation, quality of care and administrative practice, evidence-based practice/research, resource utilization and leadership.

P Qualifications: Baccalaureate Degree preferred and/or is on education track for completion of Baccalaureate degree in Nursing within 5 years. Ability to meet competencies in the assigned area/clinical unit; strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, knowledge of the quality improvement/research process. New York State Registered Professional Nurse License required. Ability to utilize hospital related e-mail and scheduling programs, Excel, Power Point, Lourdes Intranet and Internet programs. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively to all levels of the organization, patients and families. Certification in clinical specialty preferred. Associate will work in a high pressured and rapidly changing environment and must maintain poise in stressful situations.
