Job Description
Our Company
Heatcon has been an industry leader in aerospace composite repair for over 30 years. We are committed to continuous product improvement and development and as such, are seeking an experienced, dynamic Electrical/Mechanical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued, key member of an established business and engineering team; offering opportunity to utilize your skills within a position offering a broad-range of responsibilities.
Summary
Design, improve and document electrical/mechanical systems and equipment. Principle duties include designing, improving, planning, documenting, system configuration, start-up testing and trouble-shooting electrical and mechanical systems. Will also perform professional level work in planning, design, development, and testing of electrical systems, processes, and equipment utilizing AutoCAD software and provide technical support of electromechanical production, assembly and test process operations.
Heatcon’s ideal candidate is someone who looks at the “big picture” and sees the merit of doing tasks or projects without needing an in-depth, mapped out plan —and most importantly, someone who can effectively work with dynamic and changing requirements.
Required Skills
Must know and be able to apply the functional concepts, practices and procedures of the electrical and mechanical fields. Experience in development, design, and testing of manufacturing and installation of electrical components, equipments and systems. Must be proficient in 3D AutoCAD and have knowledge of embedded computers.
Qualifications, Education and Experience:
Position requires the completion of a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university and 4-6 years’ experience in the product development field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong written and verbal communications, technical writing, 3D AutoCAD, and electronic "packaging" skills required. Knowledge of electrical codes, machine shop practices, document control, and embedded software systems also required. Knowledge of internal standards and experience with project management skills preferred.
