Job Description

Shift- 11:00 am to 7:30 pm Monday- Friday

Position may require additional work hours as directed by supervisor.

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include oversight of the transfer, storage, processing, and distribution of oil and related materials. This position includes interaction with other operations in the facility including transportation, field services, warehousing, and administration. This position will work within established standard operating procedures and within specific safety and environmental guidelines as established by the Area Manager, Operations Manager and EH&S.

Business Impact:

Works independently with minimal supervision and is guided by clear, standardized practices and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the off loading, transfer, and processing of material delivered into facility.

Operator will ensure that all railcars are unloaded each day in a safe and timely manner.

Assist in the processing of oily emulsions on a daily basis. The expectation will be to efficiently manage the Oil Plant processing operation as required by management.

Ensures that efficient and timely unloading of trucks entering the facility.

Ensures that all tasks directed by Branch Manager and Operations Manger are completed in the Oil Plant processing area.

Assist lead operator in managing all fluid streams in the facility. Ensures that there is capacity to unload all products into the facility.

Ensures process equipment is properly maintained and manages relationships with 3rd party maintenance and repair vendors.

Troubleshoot the operations of the oil plant.

Responsible for loading barges as needed.

Ensures the quality of outbound RFO meets the specifications of our customers.

The expectation will be to efficiently operate and manage the WW Treatment plant as required by management.

Operate and manage all laboratory operations.

Obtain the certification required to operate the onsite boiler.

Coordinates with the Lab Manager to manage all fluid streams in the facility. Ensures that there is capacity to unload all products into the facility.

Ensures that all plant paperwork is completed properly each day and the paperwork is distributed/filed accordingly.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Maintain process equipment and schedule maintenance. Keep the Area Manager informed of any issues.

Assist in development and implementation of SOP s. Gather ideas on improving the processes.

Conduct plant inspections and maintain compliance with all necessary permits and reporting requirements.

Understand and comply with RCRA requirements for storage of waste in accumulation areas of the facility.

Ensure compliance of facility waste acceptance plan.

Coordinate and conduct the loading of barges.

Coordinate and conduct the safe loading and unloading of rail cars.

Manage all Coast Guard regulations to ensure safe loading of barges during the day and night operations.

Ensure all lab equipment is calibrated and in working condition.

Requirements:
Education/Experience/Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

-Ability to read and understand established procedures, including the Waste Analysis Plan and RCRA requirements.

-Ability to read and write handwritten and typed correspondence

-Able to work as part of a team

-Strong work ethics preferred

Physical Demands:

The physical demands below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

-Able to climb on top of tank trucks, storage tanks, etc using ladders, hand rails, etc Involves twisting
