High School graduate or equivalent. One year medical office experience preferred. Computer knowledge required. Under the supervision of the Office Manager or designate, and with direction from various Imaging Supervisors, schedules all outpatient studies for the Department of Medical Imaging. This includes radiology, mammography, CT scan, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, cardiovascular testing, pulmonary function, EEG, and sleep lab studies. Coordinates procedural coding and insurance pre-certification requirements with referring physician practices and third party payors for the above tests. Provides information to patients and their families, and communicates with interdepartmental and intradepartmental personnel, as well as referring physician practices. Registers outpatients in the HIS for the above tests. Full-time Day shift High school diploma or equivalent is required
