Job Description

Havasu Regional Medical Center. Board Certified/Board Eligible. MD and DO will be considered. HRMC does not sponsor visas. Income guarantee for 1 year with 3 year forgiveness period. Solo practice. Flexible call with one other. 8 Surgery suites. 16 Bed ICU. Starting salary Based on MGMA DOE. Other compensation includes practice management consulting services, relocation reimbursement, and sign-on bonus, EMR and marketing assistance. Income guarantee package includes salary, rent, utilities, malpractice, assistance with benefits, support salaries and benefits and supplies. Hospital has expanding to provide major medical services such as a 6 bed Pediatric unit, In-house PET/CT department and an expanded ER unit. Physician will be very welcomed in the community. Payor mix is 52% Medicare, 7% managed care, 15% Medicaid, 2% commercial, 5% HMO, 12% Blue Cross and 7% other. Office space available within walking distance to the hospital. Very large referral base, including primary and secondary markets. Primary service is Lake Havasu City; secondary markets include Kingman, Needles, Fort Mohave, Bullhead City, Parker and Quartzsite. About the Hospital Havasu Regional Medical Center is a Medicare-certified, Joint Commission-accredited, 181-bed acute care facility providing 24-hour emergency service with full-time emergency physicians on duty. It is a state-certified ALS Base Hospital, authorizing medical direction and support of pre-hospital care providers, fire department paramedics and ambulance personnel. It is also a state certified Level IV trauma center. The facility offers a full complement of patient-centered, community hospital and regional referral services in most major medical disciplines and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is an active medical service component of the facility. More than 100 affiliated physicians and allied health professionals comprise the medical staff and represent a broad cross section of specialty areas. The Community Home to the world-famous, transplanted London Bridge, Lake Havasu City is a growing community of some 50,000 full-time residents. Winter visitors add another 15-20,000 seasonal residents between October and April. Located on the Colorado River, Lake Havasu City offers the charm and quality of life of a small community, with easy access to amenities offered by the metropolitan areas of Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The climate of the low desert features average winter temperatures in the low 60s, to dry warm 100s in the summer. With five elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and a total enrollment of over 6,000 students, Lake Havasu Unified School District offers a rigorous academic program for all students, including programs for gifted, talented, special education and remedial students. Lake Havasu students consistently outperform the county, state and nation in national norm-referenced tests. Pre-schools, private schools and charter schools are also available in Lake Havasu City. Mohave Community College operates a full campus in Lake Havasu City with more than 2,000 students and offers specialized training for specific industries, including a comprehensive nursing program. And thanks to an agreement between Northern Arizona University and community colleges throughout the state, students have the opportunity to obtain a bachelors or masters degree without leaving the area. Recreation Lake Havasu is a 45- mile long water recreation paradise featuring boating, fishing, water skiing and a variety of choices for relaxation. Both city and state parks offer full-service marina facilities. Lake Havasu City has an impressive recreation department that maintains an outstanding indoor aquatic activities center, community center and many neighborhood parks. Organized sports are offered to all age groups throughout the year. Golfers enjoy three 18-hole championship courses or may play either of two executive courses, all of which are open to the public.
