P/T Culinary Brand Ambassadors Needed in the San Francisco Area

Advantage Sales and Marketing, currently has a number of immediate openings throughout the local area. We are looking for outgoing and energetic individuals to act as Culinary Ambassadors in major grocery retailers. This is a part-time, seasonal position with a competitive pay rate. As an Event Specialist you will conduct in-store demo pairings of gourmet coffee with high-end confections or cookies to generate excitement, brand awareness, and drive sales through event execution and promotions. This fun and exciting opportunity will give you a chance to show-off your sales and customer service skills through interaction with consumers. Duties and Responsibilities Educate yourself on products and communicate features and benefits to consumers Build strong working relationships with store managers and personnel Engage consumers and promote the perfect pairing coffee with confections or cookies Hand out promotional literature and/or coupons Set-up, breakdown, and clean product demonstration equipment Report event activity on a daily basis through an online reporting system The successful candidate will possess: A thorough knowledge of principles of effective brand marketing Proven experience in effective communications with consumers, client reps, and management Knowledge of the coffee industry preferred Culinary schooling or equivalent work experience preferred Passion for food and knowledgeable about food pairing Must drink coffee Applicants with experience in the following are encouraged to apply o Culinary Students o Pastry Chefs o Catering o Sous Chefs o Culinary Instructor Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or equivalency required. Must have a windows-based computer, with reliable and consistent daily access to the Internet Must pass background/drug screen Must be willing to take a food safety/handling training online (Paid) Clean driving record Ability to travel out to events by car as needed Uniform Chef coat & hat (provided) Schedule: Up to 24 hours per week Thurs-Sun. 6 hour shift anytime between 10a 6pm.
