Job Description

Starting Pay: $9.45 per hour

Hours: Monday - Thursday 12:00 - 8:30 pm, Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm

1. Basic Function

Receives all incoming merchandise and supplies into the Distribution Center. Ensures that all products are available to fill customer orders.

2. Major Responsibilities

A. Assesses accuracy and integrity of all incoming shipments (package count, damage and correct address), print Purchase Orders and identifies all items against purchase order.

B. Accurately and efficiently enters all receiving transactions into the computerized inventory systems and prints put-away sheet.

C. Identifies and corrects most inventory errors. Alerts the Receiving Coordinator to any irregularities in the product inventory (i.e. count and location errors, product shortages and product damage). Branch MT irregularities are marked on MT sheet and sent to OS&D.

D. Accurately bags any product that requires different packaging and/or labeling to ensure proper protection and ID by using the Equipment-Bag/Tag machine.

E. Maintains the housekeeping standards of the Distribution Center. Keeps the D. C. aisles clear, removes packaging from the storage locations and maintains the orderliness and cleanliness of the facility work areas.

F. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education

1. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is desirable.

2. Candidate must be able to read, understand and use all receiving documentation (i.e. purchase orders, packing slips, put-away sheets.

B. Experience

1. Desirable relevant work experience includes warehouse labor (Receiving, Order Filling, Shipping or Customer Service) or employment in the dental industry (dental hygienist, dental assistant and equipment service).

2. Forklift experience with a safe operating record is desirable.
