Scope and Knowledge

Develops complex routine and ad hoc reporting and analysis of financial results for the Board, EMT, SLT and other business partners to meet their information needs, identify trends and respond to issues. Focuses on the accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis of financial management information and operating metrics for the organization. Experienced in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and competitive data analysis. Leverages knowledge of financial reporting structures, account structures and audit controls when performing comprehensive analyses. Serves as liaison to area finance and/or business units to enhance monthly reporting. Assists with project management, including assessing reporting needs, determining requirements, writing policies & procedures, and implementing systems and processes. Strong business acumen and ability to understand business problems and design appropriate analytic or measurement based solutions.

Job Complexity

Assists/leads the management reporting process including preparation of monthly and quarterly reports. Ensures timely flow of consistent, accurate financial and operating information. Develops analytics, variance reports, and charts and graphs to depict and analyze corporate results including expenses, revenue, flows, assets, and key metrics. Provides input on process/workflow improvements and reporting enhancements. Assists with daily team operations and provides general support to overall team. Supports the MRA Management Reporting and Analytics initiative for management reporting tools, data warehousing and profitability reporting, and partners with Finance resources to implement enhanced reporting and profitability analysis.

Interaction

Networks with colleagues, senior personnel, peers and staff across Finance to resolve issues, gain needed information and influence outcomes. May perform ad hoc analysis, lead special projects, or act as the lead expert in the group.

Oversight / Freedom to Act

Works independently receiving little instruction on day-to-day work, receives general guidance and review on new assignments. May manage small teams in special projects or implementation of initiatives. Acts as subject matter expert, requiring specialized knowledge in functional area. Manages time and priorities, while working on multiple competing projects. Able to work in a fast paced environment adhering to tight deadlines, and quick turn-around times while maintaining attention to detail. May need to work evenings and occasional weekends to complete monthly and quarterly deliverables.Qualifications
Experience, Degrees and Certification:

5 ? 7 years experience in accounting/financial industry with 2 years experience in financial reporting
Advanced knowledge ? Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline required. CPA or MBA preferred
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, energetic, and positive attitude
