Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer with experience leading process improvements for the manufacturing of consumer products. Ideal experience would be from the pulp paper or similar industry. Direct hire opportunity located in the state of Connecticut with relocation for eligible candidates. You will be responsible for a variety of assignments from individual contributor to program or initiative leadership providing work direction related to design, development, optimization and problem solving of manufacturing processes. ResponsibilitiesLead single or multiple product or process improvement projects with a financial scope of up to $30 million from conception through commercializationProvide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation of design, development and optimization of converting and manufacturing equipment and processesSeek, recognize, define and solve problems to achieve unit objectives and identify complex technical issues to determine root causeDevelop knowledge and skills so as to be recognized for expertise and functional leadership in application of engineering principles, scientific analysis and project management RequirementsBachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical and/or Pulp and Paper Engineering from an accredited College or University Approximately 12 or more years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignmentsExpertise across multiple technologies in both manufacturing and converting and in both staff and plant environments Expertise in manufacturing processes with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major expense and capital projectsDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required time framesSome travel to other sites as needed in support of similar projects may be requiredBenefitsSolid benefits plan that includes Health (choice of three national medical plans), Dental, Vision, Disability, Spending Accounts, Life Accident Insurance, 401k (with company matching contributions), and more
