ENTER JOB DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All matters
listed herein are considered
to be essential job functions.
* There may be other job functions which are
essential, but which are not listed below. Also,
Land-O-sun Dairies, L.L.C. may revise this
description at any time deemed necessary.
* Drive s tractor and trailer to deliver product to
designated locations may drop the trailer or unload
the trailer as assigned.
* Complete all necessary paper work required by
company policies or governmental regulations.
* Perform DOT Per-Trip inspections on equipment.
Perform any other assigned tasks.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no
supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements:
ENTER JOB REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an
individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are
representative of the knowledge, skill, and/of ability
required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or
general education degree (GED); and, a minimum of three
years experience driving a tractor and trailer. Ability
to successfully complete company driver test.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability
to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively
present information in one-on-one and small group
situations to customers and other employees of the
organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply,
and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions and decimals. Ability to draw a graph.
REASONING ABILITY to define problems, collect data,
establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to
interpret and extensive variety of technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and must
all so have the ability to operate the accounting
equipment and deal with several abstract variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must posses and
maintain a valid commercial driver s license with at
least a class A rating and an air brake endorsement.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are
representative of those that must be met by an employee
to successfully perform the essential functions of this
job. The candidate must pass a pre-employment DOT
physical and drug screen prior to commencing work. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is
frequently required to use hands; stretch and reach with
hands and arms; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel,
crouch or crawl and sit. The employee is occasionally
required to move up to 500 pounds. Must talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include
peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must have full
range of body motion.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics
described here are representative of those an employee
encounters while performing the essential functions of
this job. While performing the duties of this job, the
employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical
parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather
conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to
extreme cold and/or heat. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate. The employee will be
required to use all personal protective equipment
provided by the company in compliance with OSHA
regulations.
