Internships are availalbe only to Junior or Senior standing, Master's, or PhD students enrolled in an accredited college program.

Internships may be available in: Richland, WA, Pasco, WA, Kennewick, WA, Warden, WA, Quincy, WA, Connell, WA, Boardman, OR, Hermiston, OR, American Falls, ID, and Twin Falls, ID.

INTERNSHIP INFORMATION:
* 10-week paid internship, June - August, 2012 (relocation stipend available to those that qualify)

* Individual intern projects will be assigned and a final presentation made at conclusion of internship

* Interns will attend organized social events throughout the summer

Position Responsibilities

The internship will consist of:

* Intern will be assigned a skilled mentor for the duration of internship. The Mentor will ensure training modules are completed and do a weekly review to assess progress, provide mentoring, and answer questions.

* Spend time with the raw potato grading crew learning potato grading

* Hands on experience in at least one area of the Agriculture Services Organization: Agronomy, Partner Grower - Farming, and Procurement:

Agronomy
? Understanding the science behind plant physiology and how the environment affects quality and yield

Partner Grower - Farming
? Understanding the budgetary process and learning the cultural practices that will affect quality and yield

Procurement
? Understanding the quality attributes and how they affect plant efficiencies and raw product costs. Understanding the fundamentals of storing potatoes and utilizing raw as a mix

Position Qualifications

* Junior/Senior, Master's or PhD standing student in an accredited college program pursuing a degree in
Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field

* Willingness to work at any of our plant locations for the summer
