Job Summary
Serves as a product attribute and technical subject matter expert for advanced plant manufacturing systems. Interacts regularly with plant leadership to ensure all systems maintain high levels production consistency and efficiency. Leads efforts to measu
Position Responsibilities
* Routinely review and evaluate plant cutting systems and cutting practices, which includes travel to all Lamb Weston facilities
* Recommend corrective actions on plant cutting systems and practices
* Provide technical service and advice to all plant cutting systems, which includes "hands on" repair support if required
* Conduct and monitor performance level testing of outgoing cut raw product and sizing
* Train plant personnel in the science of potato cutting, including knife sharpening and proper equipment set up
* Conduct specification review for knife procedures, ensuring that SOPs and OPLs are in place, accurate and in use
* Review maintenance practices for optimal equipment performance and reliability
* Develop and maintain expertise on "state of the art" cutting systems, providing recommendations and ideas for improvement
* Work with a cross functional group of QA, RQI, Operations and Engineering to improve cutting systems designs
* May be requested to learn and support other processing technology as a resident expert

Skills
a. Inclination and aptitude for the mechanical and physical sciences
b. Able to learn and understand electrical and mechanical apparatus'
c. Computer skills, Word, Excel (Others - Maximo or SAP-ALM)
d. Communication and writing skills for reporting and training
e. Able to read blueprints, AutoCAD helpful
f. Able to use hand tools
g. After being trained on specific equipment, able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems
h. Able to work safely and effectively in a factory environment
Required Experience
a. BS in Engineering (mechanical preferred) or a related field (i.e. maintenance trade) preferred, or a combination of suitable education and experience
b. 5 years related experience
c. Potato processing experience in either equipment operator, engineering or maintenance areas
d. Valid driver's license and ability to meet ConAgra driving standards
e. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, a passport will be required
