Job Description

We are searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to work for a large fast paced luxury apartment community in the N. Bethesda, Maryland area. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of maintenance duties. Our community will require an enthusiastic team player who recognizes that customer service is one of the most important aspects of the position. This position is expected to be able to repair and maintain most items on a property without outside vendor assistance. We recognize people as our most valuable resource. This position comes with a rent free one bedroom apartment.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include:
Turnover of apartments
Emergency and routine maintenance
Plumbing
Heating
Carpentry
Electrical
Appliance repair
Prompt and efficient service calls in accordance with the service policy

To become a valuable member of our team, we require the following:
Proper use of hand tools, power tools and possess a solid knowledge of mechanical equipment.
A strong eye for detail
The ability to lift 50-75 pounds
On call duties and responsibilities on a rotating basis
The ability to work flexible schedule, including overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.
Must pass background checks, physicals and drug screening
Drivers license
Hvac certification (universal) a must
CFC certification

Contacts
Works under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Responds to inquires from tenants or residents and directs to other people as necessary.

Financial Responsibility
Has no direct financial responsibility.

Education
Requires a high school diploma, GED (General Educational Development), or equivalent. Depending on property needs, may require certifications in trade disciplines (HVAC). Depending on property needs, may be required to have a valid state drivers license.

Experience
In addition to the education outlined above, at least three years prior experience working in multi-unit residential property

Other Skills
Requires a self-motivated, team-player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with community associates. Must be neat, meticulous and pay attention to regulations and details when completing tasks. May be required to work flexible schedule including over-time, nights, weekends, and on-call.
