Position: Post Closer
Location: Simi Valley, CA
Hours: M-F (8am-5pm) with occasional overtime
Length: 6 months
In Post Closing Document Review and Resolution; will be responsible for resolving defects on closing documents including notes, HUD1-1A, TIL, etc. Responsible for contacting internal and external customers (by phone, e-mail, etc.) to correct closing issues and system discrepancies. Qualifications: Two or more years of mortgage lending experience or equivalent preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented, problem solver, computer literate, proficient in 10 key. Professional, trustworthy, reliable. Able to work overtime as needed. The job entails obtaining missing or corrected documents after the closing has occurred (Settlement Statements, Payplan Forms, and Collateral Documents). Successfully contacting customers, closing agents, branch offices, and other 3rd parties will be key to getting the results. Would need to research the problem (missing or incorrect documents), and take actions to get the problems resolved. Following procedures and job aids is critical in getting the end result.
Following up on missing or incorrect documents. Calling, e-mailing, and faxing various entities to arrange for the document delivery or correction. Typically the day will start with follow-ups on existing loans you are assigned to, then after that, you can begin to pull new loans from the queue
1. Position requires a minimum of 1 year mortgage/real estate experience as must be familiar with mortgage docs
2. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (basic to Intermediate) i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook. Must be able to create letters and spreadsheets, send emails etc.
3. Must be proficient in 10 key
4. Typing 30-35 WPM
5. Position requires excellent customer service skills as will be required to contact customers, closing agents, branch offices and other 3rd parties to obtain required information.
6. Requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
