Job Description

This role is being created to enhance our employees experience of systems deployed internally, specifically focused on HR, finance and other Workforce experiences. These systems and services are at the core of Cisco's internal excellence and ultimately drive productivity for our global workforce. A program of releases for state of the art workforce serves is already under way and feature best in class web tools, social networking and internal processes that allow our 60,000 workforce to collaborate, create and work efficiently and successfully. Cisco now want to find an exceptional person who can oversee the user experience of these systems.The role is new role at Director level, reporting directly to Direcor of User Experience and Support Services and an opportunity to have a significant impact on the quality of Cisco's of internal systems. System Experience is defined as the complete, end to end journey that users have in searching for, understanding purpose, set up and first use, general interaction and user interface, growth and most importantly user satisfaction ratings and consistent use and recommendation. Cisco users are typically smart and vocal about the quality of their user experience and a main objective of this role is learn from the insight of current users and integrate these learning s and expectations into the delivery of these systems and services. 1. Strategic input into development projects - identifying best practice user experience, processes and methodologies to ensure that the technical excellence is matched in delivery with seamless and well considered end to end user journey2. Direct involvement with key projects to ensure that the end to end user journey works well and creates high satisfaction with users. This will mean working directly with development teams in a consultant capacity to help teams identify problem areas and improvements and directly improve existing and in development products3. Develop the awareness and understanding of user experience in development teams and senior management to ensure that the process and way of thinking moves to a user experience and user centered approach that ensures that solutions work well, adoption rates are improved and user satisfaction levels are significantly improved.The main attributes of the successful candidate are:
User Experience Expertise (focusing on process navigation, ease of use and simplicity). .You will show a deep understanding of the processes, methodologies and activities involved in influencing development teams to ensure user experience excellence, and changing and improving internal systems and processes over time and how to scale sure experience excellence across the company.Technical CollaborationYou will be experienced and knowledgeable in the detail of the deployment of technologies and be able to show how collaboration with the technical teams throughout the deployment process has delivered excellent user experiences.Business ObjectivesA deep understanding of the business goals of the Finance and HR organizations coupled with the ability to simplify key complex transactions so that the process and experience is intuitive, simply and easy to do. You should be able to work at a strategic and early planning level so senior managers can understand how to prioritize activities and optimize user experience.General qualities:
Excellent Communicator - able to liaise to both the business and IT, senior management and development teams and evangelize and inspire the need for improved user experience for the deployment of our key workforce services systems. You should be able to communicate on internal and external platforms on Cisco s strategies and roadmaps and share out approach and processes.Change Management:
You will have the ability to help people change the way they work and understand and embrace the changes to achieve user experience excellence
