Description:
To function as a member of a team and complete all daily tasks to ensure smooth day to day operations.

Duties include but not limited to:

Assists patient with visit
escort patient to exam room
assists patient to dress/undress
accurately obtain and record the following information, allergy status, vital signs, weight/other parameters as needed
note changes in patient status, collect specimens for laboratory testing and instruct patients as necessary
assist in maintaining clean environment, exam rooms, clean equipment after patient use according to OSHA procedures
maintains aseptic technique when assisting RNs/MD with sterile procedures
book appropriately on appointment system
follow up on missed appointments within 24 hours
documents messages appropriately
prepare medical records prepare medical records using current medical record system ensure that the medical record and latest ancillary testing results are included for every patient visit, provides coverage for medical secretary whenever necessary

Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Experience in a medical office setting preferred
Education from approved medical assistant program or equivalent
Ability to perform secretarial duties
Ability to work in a fast passed environment and multi task
