Happy summer, everyone! Things are heating up outside and at America’s Job Exchange, as we have several new articles focused on OFCCP news and advice. We also reflect on our recent visit to Charlotte, North Carolina to participate in the inaugural Southeast ILG Conference. June also heralds the return of Shafeeqa Watkins Giarratani, the guest speaker of our highly successful OFCCP developments webinar in May. Shafeeqa returns with a guest column on our blog, weighing in on the recent changes in the OFCCP’s jurisdiction over health care.

How well do you understand the OFCCP’s Internet Applicant rule? Are you familiar with how the OFCCP defines an Internet applicant? Find out what you need to know about this core component of compliance with the OFCCP and how it defines the data you need to keep.

An audit by the OFCCP can certainly be a stressful event, which is why it pays to be prepared and familiarize yourself with the process. This article provides a view into what to expect if you are audited by the OFCCP, from the notification via scheduling letter to the preparation of mandatory data. Get a better understanding of where your gaps might be and adopt a motto of "Be prepared."

The OFCCP was well represented at the recent Southeast ILG Conference in Charlotte, NC June 6–8. Regional OFCCP Director Evelyn Teague and her staff participated in a spirited and deeply informative agenda. America’s Job Exchange was proud to be a Gold Sponsor for this inaugural event, and you can experience some of the highlights by reading our blog recap of the SE ILG conference.

Finally, we have received tremendous positive feedback for our May 24 webinar on new OFCCP compliance developments and how to prepare. We promise to deliver more informative events like this one in the very near future. In the meantime, we have invited speaker Shafeeqa Watkins Giarratani to be a regular contributor to our blog. Be sure to check out Shafeeqa’s recent submission on the recent changes to the OFCCP’s directives regarding health care.
