Heading Navigation

The heading navigation section contains the following elements:

Navigation Bar

The Navigation Bar appears at the top of the Home Page, and contains the following hyperlinks:

JOB SEEKER - displays the Job Seeker home page. See "My Account" for instructions or the Login screen if you are not already logged into AJE. See "Logging into AJE" for instructions.
EMPLOYERS - not available to Job Seekers.
SUPPORT - provides an e-mail window to contact AJE Customer Care.

The America's Job Bank Customer Care strives to provide a timely response to all user requests for assistance. You can generally expect a response to any Customer Care request within one business day.

ESPANOL - provides a spanish translation of AJE.
INFOSITE - provides an update of NaviSite’s transition plan.
HELP - displays help pages specific to the screen you are on.

Login

Login at the top of the AJE Home page under My Account.

Click on the E-mail field, and type the e-mail you established when you registered.
Click on the Password field, and type the password you established when you registered.
Note: You must enter your password exactly the same way you entered them when you signed up with AJE to include upper and lower case.
Click on the Login button. Your My Account screen appears.

Retrieving a Forgotten Password

If you have forgotten your password, click on the hyperlink Forgot your password? below the Password field. The Password Retrieval screen appears.
Click on the E-mail field, and type the e-mail you established when you registered.
Click on the RETRIEVE PASSWORD button. A confirmation message appears. You will receive your password at the e-mail address you supplied when you registered.

Quick Search

Use this section to search for a job.

To use Quick Search, fill in the information presented on the Home Page. See "Using Quick Search" for instructions.
Or
To use Job Title search, click on the Advanced tab and select the Job Title button. See "Using Job Title Search" for instructions.
Or
To use Keyword search, click on the Advanced tab and select the Keyword button. See "Using Keyword Search" for instructions.
Or
To use Military Occupational Code (MOC) search, click on the Advanced tab and select the Military button. See "Using Military Occupational Code Search" for instructions.
Or
To use Job Number Search, click on the Advanced tab and select the Job Number button. See "Using Job Number Search" for instructions.

Register

Click on the Register button under My Account or Free Services hyperlink under Job Seekers on the home page.The Register screen appears.

Select the GO button and the Code of Conduct and Privacy Policy screen appears. After selecting I ACCEPT fill out the registration forms.

Job Seeker Functions

If you are not logged in, the Login screen appears if you click on these hyperlinks. See "Logging into AJE" for instructions.

Free Services - Create and manage your account online, create/maintain your resume, search and apply for jobs, setup Job Scouts and much more.
Or
Click on Post a Resume to access Resume Builder. See "Resume Builder" for instructions.
Or
Click on Create a Cover Letter to access Cover Letters. See "Cover Letters" for instructions.
Or
Click on Job Scouts to access Job Scouts. See "Using Job Scouts" for instructions.
Or
Click on Manage Your Account to access My Account. See "My Account" for instructions.

This section is only for registered employers.

Link to Us - takes you to a description of how to add a link to America’s Job Exchange on your web page.

Privacy - Takes you to the page containing the privacy statement. This Online Privacy Statement explains what information is collected, how that information is used and the steps that are taken to ensure your privacy while using America’s Job Exchange. The Privacy Statement also explains how your information is protected after you leave our website.

Terms & Conditions - allows you to view the terms and conditions that govern information, confidentiality, data sharing, employment and reemployment services, and any interaction on, with or through America’s Job Exchange.

Feedback - allows you to fill out the Customer Evaluation Form or the Customer Comments Form.

Site Map - allows you to view a hyperlinked outline of the America’s Job Exchange web site.
