Creating a Job Scout


You can create a job scout from any Job Search except Job Number Search. You must access Edit Job Scout to activate or edit your search. See "Editing a Job Scout" for more information.
Or
You can create a new Job Search and Job Scout simultaneously from the Job Scouts screen.

    1. Click on the NEW JOB SCOUT button on the Job Scouts screen. The Create Job Scout screen appears with the Quick Search method selected.
      Note: You must enter information in the fields marked with an asterisk (*).
    2. Select the Job Title, Keyword, or Military hyperlink at the bottom of the screen to change your search method.
    3. Click on the Scout Name field, and type a name for your job scout.
    4. Enter the required job search information:
      · For Quick Search, see "Using Quick Search"
      · For Job Title, see "Using Job Title Search"
      · For Keyword, see "Using Keyword Search"
      · For Military, see "Using Military Occupational Code Search"
    5. Select a schedule from the Run Scout drop-down list. Job Scout will run the search as scheduled, and e-mail you with updates.
      Note: Select Never from the drop-down list to deactivate a Job Scout without deleting it.
    6. Click the SAVE button to create your Job Scout. The Job Scouts screen reappears with your new job scout displayed.
