PACCAR s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.
This position is responsible for supervising the Enterprise Command Center (ECC). The ECC provides proactive monitoring for all PACCAR s critical systems, minimizing downtime and business impact. The ECC is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by technical staff who monitor for and recover from network, server, mainframe, application and facility events. Duties will include:
Supervising and developing Command Center staff.
Monitoring PACCAR computing systems, network, and applications to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements.
Managing critical outages including: coordinating recovery efforts, executing notification and escalation procedures, and ensuring communication to management and customers.
Leading and/or participating in the development and implementation of Command Center processes and procedures with an emphasis on providing global support and increasing incident resolution rates.
Managing technical support services and coordinating vendor maintenance to maintain maximum operational performance and timely resolution of problems.
Ensuring accurate and efficient execution of activities such as maintenance and recovery tasks.
Interfacing with IT infrastructure and applications teams globally.
Implementing the use of measures and managing ongoing quality improvement of Command Center operational processes and capabilities.
Qualified candidates should have a minimum of three years of supervisory experience working in a Network Operations Center (NOC)/ Operations Support Center as well as
Proven leadership, organization, planning and communication skills.
Demonstrated skill in building motivated and collaborative teams.
Demonstrated skill in working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated technical abilities.
Strong customer service skills.
Qualified candidates must be flexible and able to cover weekend shifts.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
MCSE/A+/CCNA certifications desired.
Technical skills working with IBM MVS, AS400 and distributed processing environments (HP-UX, AIX, W2K) desired.
