Job Description
Job Purpose:
Performs all activities necessary to process the payroll for ePlus Technology. (approximately 750 employees).
Job Responsibilities:
- Process employee data files for Technology (new hires, terms, commissions, address changes, direct deposit, tax information, etc)
- Responsible for processing incoming merit increases and seeking proper approvals through our authority matrix
- Collection of payroll attendance spreadsheet from other offices, inputting data into grid and verifying leave availability
- Process involuntary deductions (such as levies & garnishments)
- Processing payroll previews for Technology
- Accountable for submitting the net/tax figures to accounting to enable the wire transfer to be transmitted to cover the payroll.
- Produce semi-monthly journal entry for Technology
- Run semi-monthly, monthly & quarterly reports ( Check requests, Wage Consolidation, Executive Management requests, Tech Advances, COGS, PA LST & Wage Breakdown, etc)- Update eConnect when applicable with new tax forms
- Calculate and produce manual check requests when necessary
- Running various other payroll reports
- Completing employment verifications & unemployment claim forms for all Technology employees
- File payroll backup in employee's personnel folders
- Assist in internal & external audits
- Assist with special projects as needed (acquisitions, open enrollment & installations/upgrades to ADP applications
- Back up to other Payroll Assistant and Payroll Manager
REQUIREMENTS:
Job Knowledge/Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with payroll (preferably ADP) and HRIS systems
- Familiarity federal, state & HR laws
- Customer service oriented
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or the equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years Payroll experience in ADP PC Payroll for Windows
- FPC certification required
