SEPTA has immediate openings for experienced Elevator/Escalator Mechanics. The successful candidates will be responsible to search for and diagnose malfunctions in elevator/escalator systems, inspects, adjusts maintains hydraulic, mechanical and electrical components installed in elevators and escalators. Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulic, Electrical, electronic, and mechanical problems relating to elevators and escalators. Troubleshoots and repairs controller and/or components
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years technical electro-mechanical discipline or equivalent work experience.
. Must have three (3) years of relevant work experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical and pneumatic equipment. Trade school curriculum may be substituted for up to one year of experience.
Must have valid driver's license.
Selected applicants must also pass a written qualifying test to be administered at a future date.
Starting salary in first year is $29.22/hr. After one year pay rate increases to $32.47/hour
