Job Description

This position is contingent upon contract award.
ENSCO's GeoSystems Solutions (GS) division has an immediate need for a Software Engineer. We are seeking a skilled individual to perform the software design effort and implementation at our Melbourne, Florida location. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Design and develop software under minimum supervision
- Translate user requirements into working, testable software
- Create unit and integration tests
- Participate in group peer reviews Qualification Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of software development/architecture experience using Java
- Experience in multiple software development lifecycle phases, including scope and proposal, analysis, design, and software construction
- Demonstrated experience interfacing directly with customers on projects
Hands on experience with the following:

- Java, Soap, Jax-ws, JEE, EJB, Perl, Bash, Linux, GWT
- Object Oriented and J2EE design patterns
- Version control and software release
- Must be able to obtain and maintain necessary Security Clearance

* Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
* Qualification Desired
- Active Secret Security Clearance

The GeoSystems Solutions (GS) Division is located in Melbourne, FL and provides a wide range of complementary skills and talents to computational chemistry, earth and environmental sciences, seismic research and exploration, as well as atmospheric modeling. ENSCO's scientists and engineers are renowned for geophysical research, development and data analysis in support of efforts to monitor international treaty compliance.
