JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Process Engineer
This role is responsible for establishing and evaluating all PCBA manufacturing processes, with high focus on the Surface Mount Technology and Wave Soldering. Review procedure and supporting documents for all PCBA manufacturing processes and provide recommendations and rationalization for updates. Support and evaluate various PCBA process types (water soluble, no-clean, lead-free) and drive best chemicals selections based on product and process requirements. Provide programming needs and technical supports for various PCBA manufacturing equipment: Solder Paste Inspection machine, Thermal profile monitoring system, Wave soldering profiling, Selective Wave soldering machine, BGA rework machine, X-ray machines (2D and 3D), AOI, press fit and router equipment. Ideal candidate should have complex product experience and not limited to depicted processes and should have hands on experience with ultra fine pitch components, BTC packages. This role will look into continues improvement and implementation of best operational methodologies, set up DOEs and write reports/presentations. Lead continuous improvement projects on defect reduction, FMEAs, cost-saving and corrective/preventative action plans. Process eng will provide daily support to manufacturing activities/processes by: providing necessary tooling, providing Design for Manufacturability feedbacks, monitoring and improving PCBA process efficiencies, monitoring and improving PCBA manufacturing quality and coordinate process resolution with other team members.
-MS in Engineering Discipline with minimum two years experience, as an Engineer, supporting PCBA processes.
-The position requires working knowledge of automated pick-and-place machines, reflow oven profiling, stencil printing equipment, Wave soldering process and tooling design experience.
-Strong background in SMT processes and process development with the ability to serve as a technical representative.
-Understanding RoHS Directive, SPC, PFMEA, DOE is required.
- Experience in providing technical leadership and training to production teams.
- Familiar with process and equipment validations unitizing IQ/OQ/PQ methodology.
