* \.Our Mission Systems team is a leading innovator, developer, manufacturer, integrator, and supporter of a variety of advanced electronics for national security and non\-defense applications\.The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Microelectronics Foundry team within the Advanced Concepts and Technologies \(AC&T\) organization\. The position is located at the Advanced Technology Lab \(ATL\) in Linthicum, MD where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production as well as emerging programs\.

* Roles and Responsibilities:

*
* - Modeling/simulating semiconductor processes and/or assessing radiation impact on microelectronics- Process development, improvement and sustainment SPC capability and control methodologies, within the areas of photolithography, plasma etch, wet processing, metal deposition, thermal diffusion, thermal oxidation, rapid thermal anneal, CVD/PECVD deposition, liftoff, lapping, or grind- Custom mixed signal, analog or digital circuit design within the Cadence Virtuoso suite of tools or supporting the Process Design Kits \(PDKs\) that bridge foundry capabilities into the design environment- Inspection and evaluation of wafers processed through semiconductor processes, providing feedback to a team of technicians and engineers and data and test analysis to assess the health of the fabricated product- Electrical testing of bare die on a wafer utilizing probe cards and specialized analog, digital and rf test equipment to apply stimulus and record performance and results- Assisting senior physicists and engineers taking measurements in a superconducting lab- Assignment opportunities in antenna engineering, power conversion technology, signal conversion technology, RF technology, digital design, electromagnetics, non\-kinetic applications, systems/cyber security, vibrations/acoustics, reliability engineering, and systems safetyBasic Qualifications:
An applicant, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria\. The applicant must:
- Be completing or has completed their degree \(Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD\) from an accredited institution\. It must be no more than 1 year if the degree has already been obtained- Not have professional work experience in their field of study \(excluding internships, co\-ops, or research studies\)- Be majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Microelectronics, Applied/Engineering Physics, or Applied Mathematics \(Applied/Engineering Physics and Applied Mathematics graduates must also demonstrate relevant technical interests and/or experience in engineering technology\)- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3\.25/4\.0 or higher- Be able to obtain a U\.S\. Government security clearance \(U\.S\. citizenship is a pre\-requisite\)Preferred Qualifications:
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3\.70/4\.0 or higher- Experience irradiating electronic devices and assessing the impact or using Silvaco/Coventor processing simulators- Microelectronic course work in fabrication methods, cleanroom microelectronic laboratory experience and/or background in DOE, SPC methodologies, or analytic techniques- Experience performing circuit design with the Cadence Virtuoso suite of tools \(Schematic Capture, Layout Editor, ADE Simulator, Assura, etc\)- Experience operating, or knowledge of, semiconductor equipment such as optical metrology tools, SEM, PECVD, CMP, Lithography, or RIE- Experience performing electrical tests on microelectronic wafers through the use of probes or probe cards, taking RF measurements or programming/using high speed digital test vector tools- Physics major with relevant laboratory experience, preferably in superconductivity- Previous internship/co\-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities \(professional/community/extracurricular\)- Good presentation and writing/communication skills who are self\-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment- Experience in developing and delivering presentations, leading small groups, etc\.- Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects- Experience in working on business or engineering full life\-cycle projects from project inception through launchNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
